Shipping too a little longer than I had anticipated but still came in good time. Wide selection of clearance items and is what makes it worth shopping online as in-store they always run out of my size (xs). Duty fees are a little on the steep side.

Pictures of t-shirts/ shirts on the site make it difficult to gauge how it looks in real life. New feature where they have jeans on an actual model make it easier to see how the fit is. Wide selection of jeans but not enough selection of tops.

I ordered something from AE like two weeks ago for the first time, and everything was really easy and straight-forward. It came really fast too, I think I ordered on a Thursday and received it the next Wednesday or something, really quick :) and it came with an easy return label cuz I ordered a bra so it's all good. Last time, my friend ordered a tank top for me and it gave me an XXL when she ordered a S for me... we went to like every single AE and they couldn't take it, so i was stuck with it cuz they didn't have the easy return thing..

My housemates and I were online shopping during exam time and we decided to get over $100 worth of stuff from ae.com. We wanted to get the boots but were confused about the sizing issue, so we called customer service for help. They had said they fit small, so we both ordered a size up. When they got here, they were absolutely WAY too big for us. I had to call AE many times to sort this out, but since we were in Canada we had to ship it back for the refund (which was not covered by the way). I was very disappointed.
Also, there doesn't seem to be TOO many sizes available in some of the items. And the duties were expensive, but the shipping was free (minus the shipping back). Boo to them.

I've ordered a jacket, a two sweaters, and a longsleeve on the site before. Since the store/site is american, the only way to have something you order sent to canada is to pay a shipping fee (approx $13?) But if you go online and look for some online codes that give you discounts (20% off, 15% off, free shipping), then its much better, but it still takes about 3-4 weeks. If you look in the clearance section of the site, you'll find some good deals like $10 t-shirts, $8 tanks, etc. There are also extended sizes: xxs-xxl

I purchased a short sleeve shirt from them a week ago. Good processing and shipping speed through Canada Post.
Shirts are great quality as well, size are quite standard unlike other online clothing purchases.
The only down fall is that you cannot return the product at their stores in Canada, it must be mailed back.

Very Userfriendly Website, yet ships from US and have duty charge

In fact, it's been a year since I shopped there (that was 2007 April), I bought five items: A "Deep V Fleece" (love the quality, it's not the whimsy sweater, this one is thick and cozy enough for autumn), a Backyard Shirt for m bf, Bikini top (great quality with lined pad),a Graphic Tee, and a Striped Superlight Hoodie (Watch the size for their superlight/slim fit, I usually wear an extra small, but when I have this in small, it was abit on the tight side for me!).
The overall shopping experience was good, except the part when I realized there's duty charges, and no returns in stores unless you mail it back. (This sux, knowing that they actually have the return label printed with an address in Windsor Ontario! :(
So I would shop in their locate stores instead, unless they have some real good clearance items.
If you are first time shopper there, make sure you register in their "all access pass" for a certain amount discount with depends on the number of purchases you make in three months period: https://www.aeallaccesspass.com/landing.aspx

Good shopping experience. Like another reviewer mentioned, prices are cheaper (especially with our dollar) + you can find 20% codes in Hot Deals. Was able to get Tall sizes that are unavailable in stores + checking out what you're going to buy in stores (if possible) is recommended.

Usually you can find a coupon for an additional saving of %15 or more. Add to that fact that the prices are lower than in store, because they are the US prices.
However, duties and taxes are charged right when you order. This is good since you have no surprises when the package arrives at your door, but bad since it adds to the total cost of your order.
Shipping generally takes about two weeks from the time I order.
The quality of the items is acceptable, and they items can be tried in store.
As with most sites, a huge advantage is that the online store has additional sizes compared to the retail store locations.
What I dislike the most, is that you have to pay to return the items shipped back to their warehouse. You cannot return to a store, or they do not pay for return shipping.
