Comment:
I can't understand all the negative comments. I've been a long time RFD contributer and, really now, does everyone expect their hand to be held for everything? It seems like people with bad experiences are blowing everything out of proportion.
Anyway, enough about my ranting of other reviews.
I initially bought a computer from Anitec two, maybe three weeks ago. I said to myself, great! A new system for (my sister, really). There were some minor issues with the computer not fully functioning, and I didn't exactly feel like troubleshooting it myself, so I brought it back to Anitec. While they state a ~ 3 business day turnaround, I was lucky enough that the technician there was able to finish repairing the computer in a day. He called me a day later, and said that my computer was ready for pick up.
Then I suddenly realized my sister wanted a nicer sound card, so I went and bought that, and asked if they wouldn't mind doing a quick install of the card for me + drivers. Again, lucky for me, they weren't busy. I was charged a small install fee for the card (to save myself the headache really) and they took care of the rest.
I left an extremely satisfied customer and now have turned into an Anitec fanboy. I used to shop at NCIX, but no longer. I would rather have the good service at Anitec than the "GET A NUMBER AND WAIT" service at NCIX.
I can't comment on the delivery and shipping options, but what I CAN tell you is that they helped me out to my car because of a bad back. Would NCIX do that for you? No, they'd just give you a cart. <3 Anitec!!

Comment:
I chose Anitec for their prices, on a few of the items I was seeking they had the lowest cost (and all items were listed in stock, or at the warehouse), but I was to pay for it in the end.
Where to start...
Firstly, they're online bank payment option does not include several major banks, including mine. I was forced to withdraw cash and have my brother use his bank account to make the purchase.
I recieved an e-mail immediately thanking me for my order, which was little more than an invoice and a promise "If there is a problem with your order, we will notify you by email or phone call. For further assistance, please email to shipping@anitec.ca quoting your Order Number for faster response."
I thought all was good until several days passed without any notification, only by logging onto their site periodically did I know if anything was happening at all, it took 2 days to confirm my payment and then my order sat as processing for 2 weeks.
I was never contacted by phone or e-mail to let me know they had sold me an item they didn't have. Rather sneakily they changed the status on the website for the video card from "Available" to "Taking Orders" (a few days after my order), and then later removed altogether after I e-mailed them asking what the holdup was.
What upsets me is that they tried to hide the fact they had no stock, making false promises to lure in customers. Had I known I'd be waiting 2 weeks before delivery, I would have gone to my local store or ordered through NCIX.com and paid a little extra.
